The Trevi Fountain also called as the Fontana di Trevi, you will find this fountain at the square of Trevi in Rome. This is one of the most prominent monuments that you will see and is the most beautiful in Rome. It took twenty years for the Trevi Fountain to be completed by the architect Nicola Salvi, although Bernini was the one who had worked first for this fountain. Pope Clement was the one who asked Nicola Salvi for the fountain to be built in the Trevi Square. This Baroque style marble fountain was completed in 1762.
You wouldn’t miss the Trevi Fountain because you will directly see this even if you are still far away from it. You will hear the surging sounds of the water. When you get closer to the Trevi fountain, you will get to notice that this is an enormous masterpiece. This comprises of the center piece Neptune, who is the god of the sea. And it depicts that he is riding a chariot which is dragged by two sea horses, with is of with different behavior, the other horse is restless and the other one is calm. The two horses symbolize the unpredictable moods that the sea has. There are sculptures that you can see above which shows the girl named Agrippa whom the canal was named after. Also on the left hand of Neptune, there is a statue of Abundance and on the right; there is a statue of Salubrity. You can find hostels in rome if you want to visit the city.
There is a canal that was built here since 19 BC, and this is where the Trevi Fountain got its water supply from Salone Springs which is twenty kilometers away from Rome. Whenever you are in the Trevi Fountain, the tradition of this fountain is that you have to toss a coin over your shoulders. It is believed that whenever you toss a coin in this fountain, most likely you will surely return to Rome.

Vatican City is located in Rome, Italy, this is the only independent state and this is the seat of the Roman Catholic Church. The head of this state is the Pope. This is also called as the Holy See. Many Catholics come here to pay homage to the Roman Catholic Church and to see the Pope. You will find numerous of chapels inside the Vatican these are, The Pope’s Private Chapel, The Sistine Chapel, Cappella Paolina, The Chapel of the Swiss Guards Chapel of Nicholas V and the Cappella Della Sala Matilde. You can find also here the Vatican Palace and the Vatican gardens. The Vatican Palace is the official residence of the Pope. The Palace itself has many to offer.
There is a part in the palace where it holds The Treasury of Arts. You can find here the Vatican Museums, there are like five museums in the Vatican Museums and the Vatican Pinacotheca. The Vatican Museum features different kinds of galleries that are of about the Roman Catholic Church and its history, there is also a burial chamber inside the museum. The museum is open from eight forty five in the morning until four forty-five in the afternoon, this open daily from April 1 to October 31 and open only from eight forty-five ion the morning until one forty-five in the afternoon from November 1 to March 31. The museum is of free admission every last Sunday of the month. The museum only closes when it is on Sundays and holidays. In the Vatican Pinacotheca, you will find here the important manuscripts, books and many more, containing compilations about the Roman Catholic Church. Â And there are also some galleries which are for the modern art inside the palace. You can also find in here The Vatican School of Paleography, Diplomatics and Archives Administration.

The Pantheon in Rome Italy, this monument truly speaks of the history of Rome. This is one of the landmarks in Rome that is being hailed as one of the significant places that have been part of the city’s history. This is the only structure that has withstood the hands of time; still the whole building is intact after all those years. This is the oldest freestanding structure in Rome and in the world; this is of 2,000 years old and it is still intact. This was used to be the temple for the gods where the Ancient Romans worshipped and later the temple turned into a Christian Church in 609. This is also the place where some of the Italian kings and other personalities were buried; you will find here buried, Victor Emmanuel II, Umberto I and Raphael, the famous Renaissance painter and many more.
This was built for the third time by the Emperor Hadrian, Marcus Agrippa, built the first and second temple on the same site but was destroyed by the fire. When Emperor Hadrian ordered to built it for the third time, after it was completed in AD 128, he have in scripted the words M·AGRIPPA·L·F·COS·TERTIVM·FECIT in honor of Marcus Agrippa. The inscription means “Marcus Agrippa, son of Lucius, consul for the third time, made it.â€
You can visit The Pantheon; it is opened daily Mondays to Sundays at eight thirty in the morning and closes at seven thirty in the evening but on Sundays they are closed early at about one in the afternoon and are always closed on these dates; January 1, May 1, August 15, December 25 and December 26. Admission is free in this building. You can find The Pantheon at the Piazza della Rotonda.
People who have been to this building would actually say that this is one of the spiritual places that they have been to. Before Michelangelo has also marveled at this great structure, he announced that The Pantheon to be “angelic and not human designâ€.

The locals here in Rome loves to mingle and chat with friends, their night life is as lively as any big city in this world but mostly the Romans do in their night life are being with friends, they are not that also of a big fan of drinking too much and partying too much, in fact they actually go out just to socialize. The age group in Rome doesn’t really matter when it comes to their night life. You get to see the locals in their thirties and still in clubs, bars and discos. Although you will get to have fun in clubs and in discos but the best way to experience the night life in Rome are being at the places where you can hang out with the locals, for example by being at the tables or dining at the piazza or just by being in one of those landmarks that they have. The Pantheon is being lit every night, mostly the locals are there near the Pantheon and so much more. The best crowd that you will have here in Rome is being with the locals. Although there are still some famous bars and places that tourists must experience and see in Rome’s night life.

There are numerous places and activities that you can catch and see in Rome. Here the locals are more into performing arts like the ballet and ballet. Here you can go and watch some of these shows, the operas and theaters are open every night, and you just have to check on the local newspaper on what are the schedules. There are a lot of festivals that are being celebrated in Rome. Here, most of the festivals that are being celebrated are major events or even international events. Here are some of the festivals that are being celebrated here in Rome.

The Pasqua or Easter is like the biggest celebration that the Romans celebrate, since this is where the seat of the Roman Catholic Church. There are lots of pilgrims that come here to celebrate Easter at the St. Peter’s Basilica. Although not all of the Italians celebrate this event, this is a secular event, though some who aren’t Catholics still respect this celebration like the Catholics do. Epiphany Fair is also celebrated; this is a festival that is not only celebrated by Rome but also the entire country. This is a festival that is being held at the Piazza Navona where they put some toys and candies for the children. This is celebrated in Rome during the 12th of December each year. This is not just a religious event but also a cultural event for the Romans. From June to September, there is the Estate Romana that is being celebrated during these months; this is a celebration where there are plenty of events such as concerts, theaters, and literature and cinema screenings. There is also the Festival Romics which is held during the month of October, they have these exhibits which showcase film showings of cartoons and comics characters and companies which are from the comics and cartoon industries. Also in October they celebrate the Festa del Cinema di Roma, this celebrates the Film industry worldwide by simply showcasing the upcoming films from filmmakers.
